Natural Selections invites you to a night of music, movement, and community in Brooklyn. Join us on the dance floor with legendary selectors Juan MacLean and Justin Strauss, alongside resident visionaries Nature Boy, Loren Berier, My Dude and Hugh Betta artists who shape each set with intention, feeling, and flow. In CARGO, we’re honored to host Juan MacLean the eclectic and prolific Brooklyn-based DJ and producer whose sound has shaped dance floors from Berlin’s Panorama Bar to Tokyo’s Womb. A defining fixture of New York’s club scene for over 15 years, Juan’s sets move seamlessly between disco, house, and techno, guided by a deep understanding of what makes a room come alive. With releases on DFA Records, Classic Music Company, Let’s Play House, Defected, and more, he remains one of the city’s most trusted and adventurous selectors. Alongside him, we’re honored to host Justin Strauss a true New York icon whose career spans more than three decades of the city’s nightclub history. From his early days at the legendary Mudd Club, to sets at Limelight, Area, Tunnel, and Centro-Fly, Justin’s name is etched into the DNA of New York nightlife. As a remixer and producer, he’s worked with Depeche Mode, Tina Turner, LCD Soundsystem, Beyoncé, and hundreds more, always driven by his mission to “connect the dots” between eras, styles, and sounds. His sets are timeless, surprising, soulful, and impossible not to dance to. Opening the night in CARGO is Renata do Valle, Brazilian-born and Brooklyn-based, a DJ, curator, and label owner whose sound bridges continents. She built her collection digging through New York’s Brazilian record bins and spinning across the city, blending her roots with the pulse of the local scene. Most recently, she launched her own imprint, Hello Sailor, home to a series of meticulously curated 7-inches that capture her ear for rhythm, warmth, and timeless groove. They’re joined by Natural Selections’ residents Nature Boy, Loren Berier, My Dude and Hugh Betta each bringing their unique pulse and perspective to the night. Expect positive energy, conscious choices, and music that moves more than just your feet. This is a celebration of sound, sustainability, and shared experience.
