Another Place

Another Place returns on April 30th for a new edition at Cooperativa Mula in Barreiro — a community space rooted in culture, solidarity, and sustainability, home to a delicious vegetarian canteen, and to be fully transformed by our own Alena Koleso & Dora Sidorenko. Music-wise, expect a strange and uncanny atmosphere — one that doesn’t abandon the dancefloor, but reshapes it into something slower, deeper, and more immersive. Local legend George Silver returns for a special dub live set, a familiar presence from our first gathering. Calcutá will present her latest album Soon After Dawn with a live band — a voyage through experimental sound, drifting between ambient and hypnagogic pop. Two b2b journeys complete the line-up — co-founder Paixão joins ‘67 & Underwater Earthquake-famed Aquafresh, following their 5h30 session at DARC Desterro last month; while Porto-based spellcasters GAM arrive with their mysteries and relics for an extended 4-hour set — expect a wild trip from the Geograficamente Perto show hosts, weirding out the waves of Lyl Radio since 2017. In order preserve the intimacy of Another Place, tickets for this event are very limited.
