KDF 10tet: The KDF 10tet combines the power of a big band with the flexibility of a small jazz ensemble. Led by Uruguayan-American composer, bassist, and bandleader Kira Daglio Fine, the group brings together ten emerging musicians from diverse cultural backgrounds to present original compositions and arrangements that blend contemporary jazz with candombe and other Latin American musical traditions. Kira's writing offers a rich orchestration of flowing, jazz-influenced melodies blended with driving Latin rhythms reimagined through unique grooves. The result is an artistic vision that reflects both the global nature of today's jazz scene and the unique perspectives of a new generation of artists.
