When he's not DJaying, producing or growing his hometown dance community, he’s working with the prestigious Black Techno Matters or managing at his hometown club Loso in Richmond, Virginia. Xav, a driving force in Richmond, Virginia's dynamic dance music scene, crafts sonic experiences that resonate deeply with audiences. His signature sound, best described as emotional, blends the rhythmic intricacies of house and techno, creating sets that are both captivating and uniquely evocative. Whether he's setting the stage for international headliners or commanding the peak-time slot, Xav's dynamic sets transcend genre boundaries, delivering unforgettable dance floor moments. Beyond his prowess as a DJ and producer, Xav is deeply committed to nurturing and expanding his local dance community. He plays a vital role in this effort through his involvement with the prestigious Black Techno Matters organization, a platform dedicated to celebrating and amplifying Black voices in the techno world. This commitment to community extends to his role as manager of LOSO, a Richmond club that has become a hub for the city's vibrant nightlife. At LOSO, Xav curates an atmosphere that fosters connection and celebrates the diverse sounds of electronic music. Xav's dedication to his craft has earned him opportunities to share the stage with a diverse array of international artists, including the likes of DJ Holographic, Le Youth, DJ Minx, Black Rave Culture, Henry Brooks, Clarisa Kimski, AMX, Volaris, and TonalTheory. These experiences have further honed his ability to connect with crowds and craft sets that resonate on a deeper level. From intimate warm-up sets to high-energy headline performances, Xav consistently delivers a captivating blend of passion and musical expertise. His influence on the Richmond scene, both behind the decks and behind the scenes, solidifies his position as a key figure in the city's electronic music landscape. ------------ Haley Phillips is a deep tech and minimal house DJ whose journey into electronic music began through a different art form altogether. Originally from Richmond, Virginia, she first found her creative voice through live painting, sharing her work in intimate clubs and underground spaces across the DMV. It was in Washington, DC that the local music scene gradually drew her in and turned casual curiosity into a new outlet for artistic expression. Influenced by artists like Maya Jane Coles, Luuk Van Dijk, and Mihai Popoviciu, Haley approaches DJing with the same thoughtful and intuitive energy she brings to her paintings. Her sets are shaped by a love for deep, hypnotic grooves and a desire to create moments that feel immersive and emotionally resonant. Whether behind the decks or in front of a canvas, Haley Phillips continues to explore the intersection of sound and visual art; by always learning, evolving, and finding new ways to connect through creativity and expression. ------------ Originally from New York, Nunie brings a deep passion for music and its power to connect people. Embracing mixing as an art form, his sets are rhythmic journeys that blend consistent themes and sounds across genres. He’s obsessed with rhythmic, groovy, and hypnotic beats infused with jazz, soul, hip-hop, Latin, and disco. Nunie began his DJ journey in New York, adapted to the underground styles in Texas, and honed his craft abroad in South Korea, where he opened and ran his own nightclub. Now, recently returned to Richmond, he continues to spin vibrant sets that reflect his diverse influences and global path, frequently blending multiple genres into unforgettable experiences. ------------ ——— LOSO Safe Space Policy ——— LOSO is a place for music lovers and dancers to come and express themselves freely.
