Dééfait

Sobre

Somewhere between krautrock, noise rock, decaying psychedelia, and pagan proto-punk, Dééfait performs music like a ritual — in trance, on repeat, without a safety net. Formed in Paris in 2023 by Riki Lara, Lucas and Pablo Valero, Enir Da, and Grégoire Couvert, the band channels a physical, hallucinatory tension where guitars, percussion, and voices merge into one dense, hypnotic flow. Their self-titled debut EP (Dcember 2025, Ici, d’ailleurs) delivers six long tracks that sound like pagan litanies — a sonic monologue where desire, sacrifice, and alienation blur into ecstatic chaos. From the trance-like "We Love Each Other So Much That We Won’t Belong To Any Species Anymore" to the convulsive "Alether" , Dééfait pushes noise to the edge of possession. Recorded in DIY urgency and mixed raw, the EP captures the band’s live energy — dirty, visceral, and possessed. Think Terminal Cheesecake, Boredoms, The Birthday Party, or CAN dissected under a strobe light — yet Dééfait stands as its own creature, feral and alive.
