EKATA is a UK based DJ/Producer + Natural Selection Resident whose productions are characterised by their dark and atmospheric soundscapes, driven by pulsating rhythms and intricate synth work. With support from the likes of Anthony Rother, Bloody Mary and Dave Clarke amongst others, EKATA's passionate approach to Electro whilst using music to tell a story and purvey a deeper meaning has made her stand out in recent years in the underground scene. She has her own vision and true to her character, she embodies everything that is the sheer essence of artistry; self expression and never wanting to fit to the mold whilst having knowledge and respect for the history and the inspiration she derives her passion of music from. Her music is an emotional journey to make people feel, think and connect. she believes it's important to have music for on and off the dancefloor. She mainly sticks to the dark and eerie side of Electro/Techno in her productions & gigs, where she will take you on a dark and twisted journey through incredibly dystopian, ominous grooves, Machine sounds and obvious sci-fi fixations which embody her carefully picked selections.
