Hypnotic, energetic and cold, this is the sound produced by Heimberg, a dark-post-punk trio from Strasbourg formed in 2022. The bass, backed by synthesizers and a drum machine, sets the scene for a bleak atmosphere. An airy guitar along with plaintive vocals drowned in reverb adds color to the soundscape, inspiring melancholy. Heimberg is a musical project made up of the different influences of the band members. Its roots lie in cold and darkwave, krautrock, noise, postpunk and black metal.
