Herlander comes back with new single “daZona” that sheds a layer of lyrical vulnerability we haven’t yet experience from him outside his abstract and peculiar way of telling his stories through lyric. “daZona” touches on subjects such as growing up in the south bay of lisbon feeling limited by growing up in the projects victimized by capitalism and racism as a kid that already doesn’t fit in and is told won’t amount to nothing. Herlander talks about the resentment and animosity created between him and his hometown yet the cultural and emotional enrichment that bounds Herlander to a place he has wanted to leave his whole life but can’t ever let go of, he always finds his way back home.
