Marc Twins is not from a music-loving family. Nothing, as he approached his 12th birthday, made you think he would become a DJ with his own mobile disco, and that his deep love of the synthetic music of the time would lead him to choose an artistic career and create his own label. In 1992 he was at the there at the first gigs, with Laurent Garnier, Joey Beltram, Marco Zaffarano, Kenny Larkin, Oxia, Miss Kittin and so on. There were amazing mixing sessions with Laurent Hô and Manu le Malin. In 1996 after having taken part in several raves and mixed in a large number of clubs; Rex, An-fer, Batofar, Terminal Export etc., one thing led to another and as Marc Twins interest in composing grew he made his dream come true by recording his first tracks on Digital Records, his first label produced in association with friends. In 1998 he created his own label UMF/Weaked. As this label was not destined for recoding just himself Marc Twins managed two labels that recorded several artists. These were not simple walks in the park; they were uncompromising, which the artist may not have liked but were vital according to him. Marc Twins carries out his own work as an author/composer in between his other commitments in order to better help others artists. What could be better than the experience of one who understands them perfectly and is also multifunctional? A man of the shadows? He is still a regular DJ, one whose sets never leave anyone indifferent. His experience just as important as his CD wallets and mean that he can easily adapt to different moods whether it’s the club scene or a more intimate occasion. With a Techno background and an Electro purist, Marc Twins has, for a few years now, found his own musical identity. All influences and sounds are mixed with excellence and consistency. Always hard at work, his sets and his productions are all too rare for some. At thirty, and refusing to delegate any, Marc Twins is thinking about his album whose central theme will probably surprise. The story goes on.
