Gonçalo Mendonça, also known as Mendes, a DJ and event organiser originally from Porto. Having lived on four different continents, he brings a worldly perspective to his work in the industry, with a strong passion for bringing people together through music. Mendes is best known as the founder of @Calypso149, a unique daytime electronic music event series that takes place in unconventional locations. From London to NYC, Madrid, Frankfurt, Lisbon and beyond, Calypso has hosted acclaimed artists such as @Mira_kater, @Undersmusic, @magaofficial, among others. Behind decks, you can expect a captivating journey from the hypnotic beats of downtempo to the trippier corners of house music. In addition to his work with Calypso, he is currently the curator at Perola Negra club, where he showcases talented artists from the electronic music scene.
