Sobre

Plastic Bamboo (Camille Bertin) Camille Bertin became interested in underground dance music during a six year stay in Manchester during the late 00s, where he immersed himself in acid house, italo disco, and Balearic beat before relocating to Paris in 2012. Shortly after its creation, he joined the Les Yeux Orange collective, playing DJ sets across Europe and contributing to mixes and edits for the Good Plus label for a few years. He donned the Alan Dente alias to release a debut EP Dark Nebula in 2016 on Bordello A Parigi, showcasing a sleek and cinematic Italo sound. His journey as a curator continued from this time and in 2018, he launched YouTube channel Plastic Bamboo, named in tribute to Ryūichi Sakamoto, sharing his musical discoveries unearthed from flea markets and thrift shops. By 2021, Camille expanded his vision through Caldeira Records, kicking off the label with Rester Partir, an immersive and esoteric LP by Swiss composer Louis Crelier. That same year, he delivered an edits EP on Talking Drums sub-label Drum Chums, refitting, refining and extending a quartet of lost cuts perfect for both peak-time and poolside. With his upcoming EP Cinerama, set for release in early 2025 on Tim Zawada’s label Star Creature, Camille channels his love for proto-house, boogie and zouk through iconic synthesizers like the DX7 and Juno 106 to create a set that's easy on the ears and tough on the feet.
