ROD-R is a French producer and composer whose music blends emotion with sonic exploration. Influenced by artists like Max Cooper, Clark, Rival Consoles, and Ben Lukas Boysen, he shapes a granular and immersive form of electronica, oscillating between rhythmic tension and melodic fragility. With a background spanning visual arts and music composition, ROD-R approaches each track as a form of sensitive storytelling, where textures, silences, and ruptures express a deeply personal relationship to sound. His debut EP Prémices laid the foundations for an introspective and textured universe, at the crossroads of ambient, IDM, and narrative electronica. With Alterity, his new EP to be released in 2025 on Paris-based label Reliefs Records, he explores the dynamics of encounter and transformation. Six tracks unfold like chapters of a fictional story, balancing vital pulsations and suspended melodies. After a first show at Les Halles de la Cartoucherie in 2024, ROD-R will perform at Les Siestes Électroniques in June. He is also developing an audiovisual live show around Alterity, combining immersive scenography and generative visuals to extend the physical and emotional experience of his music.
