Spijker's story begins in the vibrant streets of Amsterdam, where he first fell in love with the diverse sounds of techno, afro, reggaeton, and house. At just 12 years old, he started his journey with a DJ console similar to the Pioneer DDJ-200, which had very minimal options but just enough to mix one song into the other. He initially experimented with dubstep before finding his true passion in afro and afrohouse. His unique style is a captivating mix of afro, afrohouse, and a touch of tech, featuring rare, unreleased tracks and unique remixes. Spijker's performances are more than just music; they're adventures into new sounds, often including exclusive remixes of popular songs from prominent artists in afro styles remixes. Hearing a new song that you love but can't identify feels euphoric during the sets. It's even more exciting when it blends in vocals from another famous track. Spijker has made waves internationally with his memorable performances. He brought life to Burning Man in the USA, doing four sets through the mud and rain of the 2023 edition. He energized Club Posh in Florianopolis, Brazil, and followed it up with some surfing. Spijker also thrilled audiences on Cape Town's South African beaches, gaining 1.8 million YouTube combined views with his collaboration. He helped produce two sets at Clifton Beach & Boulders. Recently, performed at the Corona Sunset in Peru in 2024.
