Selektaa is a creative being enamored with music. She lives and breathes through it. She paints visions of the world, digging deeper into her own, and sublimates it all into eclectic sounds and flows. Selektaa is a child of soul, jazz, funk and hip-hop. She looks up to other creatives who have mastered the art of producing such as Roy Ayers and Knxwledge, and gets inspired by J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar’s mastery of storytelling just as much. Rooted in Djibouti and France, she grew up between the two countries, in touch with vastly different cultural landscapes that gifted her with the openness she sees the world through
