Fièvre’s Let me tell U single was released in 2019 and garnered praise by 2-step fans in France for what many saw as an hommage to a genre which remains underappreciated in his home country. A limited 33-inch vinyl edition of the Let Me Tell U EP came out the same year. Distributed in record stores across London, it sold out within months of its release. Fièvre’s first effort earned garage pioneer Jeremy Sylvester’s stamp of approval and has been played at club parties and festivals around the country by many other DJs of the UKG scene. On his latest EP, Fièvre’s days as label manager resurface in the form of a collaboration with Glasgow-based MC Soom T, an artist once signed on Wagram Music where he used to work. Don’t Stop feat. Soom T is a catchy speed garage production where Soom T’s reggae- flavoured hip hop vocals merge with Fièvre’s signature house beats. Also on the EP is the single’s alternative version Don’t stop feat. Soom T (2-step mix) whose refined drums, hip-hop flow and foreground basses draw from cult 90s house track Renegade Master (Friend Within Remix) by Wildchild. Two remixes feature on Fièvre’s most recent production, including one by Ollie Rant, an up-and-coming London DJ and producer who brings his “Made in UK” touch to the EP with an airy yet groovy track handcrafted for the dance floor.
