Solidarity is the choice to stand with others, not because it benefits us, but because their struggle is ours too.
Makaan began as a platform for artists who were unseen and unheard, particularly from the SWANA and MENA regions, while always remaining borderless in its vision. Over time, it has become clear that invisibility is no longer regional, artists across different contexts now face similar barriers shaped by access, competition, and systems of visibility.
At this moment, more than any other time, we should stand together, not in opposition, but through understanding, respect, and shared presence beyond borders.
