Ian Melt crafts a universe where light always breaks through the shadows. As the founder of the label and collective Transfigure, he embodies a constant drive for metamorphosis, where each set becomes a rite of passage into altered states of consciousness. Emerging from the darkest sides of techno, he has gradually reinvented himself to delve into a more hypnotic, organic, and melodic spectrum. His selections now journey through prog house, prog trance, trance, and techno, infused with acidic accents and psychedelic echoes. Each of his performances unfolds as a slow-burning ascent, where tension melts into liquid textures, entrancing grooves, and mental soundscapes — striking a fragile balance between introspection and collective momentum. As a producer, Ian Melt has released music on Motz, Jahanam, Scourge, via self-releases and on his own label Transfigure (formerly Meltdown), steadily carving out a sound that transcends boundaries in order to sublimate them.
